Buycraft recently introduced the ability to theme your store front. They now allow you to select one of the themes they’ve provided or make your own custom one. To make your own custom one you need knowledge of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). What I’m going to try and do is show you how to edit how your store looks by explaining some of the HTML tags used and some basic CSS code.

So yeah, that blog updating idea didn’t working too well. It’s probably because I do the same thing most days/weeks… Yeah.
Any how I sold the DL380 I bought even though I had bought a few SCSI Drives (I still have them). I sold it because I had no where to put it, fast forward a few months I bought another ASUS machine and two other 1U cases both nothing special. I did plan on putting my old computer into it (Q8300 @ 3GHZ, 8GB RAM, 60GB SSD) and using it for something and then use the other case to put my home storage box into rather than it sitting around. They both didn’t happen due to the massive noise levels. So they’re setting in my LackRack all ready to be setup apart from the main one because the motherboard + 1U cooler is about 5mm too tall.
I have built myself a new computer though. It’s an Intel Core i7 3770k @ 4.2GHz with 16GB DDR3 RAM. Haven’t maxed it out yet which is nice.
I also started back at University and went to MineCon 2012. I’ll probably do a separate post later in the week about MineCon, but it was amazing.
I was browsing ebay last night, I was looking for a new Alloy for my car since it’s damaged a little. A while later I started browsing through some computer related stuff, then I managed to get into the Server / Enterprise items.
After a while I found a few low-cost servers. I put an offer in for one of them, but it was rejected with 3 minutes to the listing ending. After that I just paid the full amount for it since it seemed good value.
It’s a HP Proliant DL380 G3 but it didn’t come with any hard drives, which is probably the reason it was the price it was. As soon as I’d purchased it I went looking for drives for it, needless to say SCSI drives are quite expensive, and quite a bit more than the server. I did however manage to find a HP 146GB (10K RPM) for £20 so that was good, or at least in my opinion.
I am looking to get a SCSI to SATA thing so I can put cheaper drives in it, but if it comes to it I’ll find another low price server with a few drives in it to use.
My exams have finished an that’s my first year with University over, it hasn’t been exactly been what I was expecting and a huge change from SERC. If you want an easy way into University, go do a Diploma or a BTEC, with any luck you’ll end up getting Triple Distinction with minimal effort, or at least that seems something similar to what I did.
While it was an easy way into University, it hits you like a brick wall because suddenly you’ve got a ton of stuff going on, although maybe only 3 or 4 modules the work that needs to be done is much more, and you actively have to try and learn the subjects. This might be why I found my Diploma easy because I knew pretty much everything that was on there with the exception of some of the IT Systems Analysis or the Advanced Maths modules.
The exam I sat a few hours ago was a Programming Challenges Practical (Java) which was based entirely on GUI which I’m so glad I spent most of yesterday going over the GUI bits, I didn’t even need the notes that they provided, although saying that it wasn’t exactly hard to be perfectly honest, it was quite similar to a past-paper that had been found.
I’ve tried doing/keeping a blog before, but it never really worked out, so let’s try again or at least for the summer. This might turn into some sort of tumblr-styled blog… Doing that is easier.
